my Idrive keeps restarting and following some of the advice given I went to go and get a system update. To do this, you will need to press and hold the following buttons. . . 4.

Yes, they have been known for iDrive restart issues in all BMW models. Bmw 5 series e60 e61 replacement 10.

Similar to you, the iDrive would work when first started (after a few days and the battery was low) but would keep rebooting on subsequent restarts if the car sat for an hour here or there in a parking lot.
